Lahdin puikkoja hakemaan.... / I went to buy knitting needles...

...ja tulin muun muassa naiden kanssa kotiin:



Alhaalla vasemmalla: aivan ihanat vintage-napit! Ostin kuusi, saa nahda mihin ne paatyvat.
Oikealla: kaksoisneuloja. En tieda yhtaan tuleeko naita kaytettya, mutta eikohan niille kayttoa keksi, jos ei muuta niin kanssapistelijoille lahjaksi.
Keskella: mun oma Chibi :) Nyt miekin olen sit Oikea Sivistynyt Neuloja kun mulla on Chibi. Eikun oikeesti mie ostin ton putkilon siksi, etta mun ryijyneulat eli isot tylpat neulat on aina Hyvassa Tallessa eika niita loydy silloin kun mie haluan paatella. Jos ei neulaa loydy, voi neule jaada paattelematta pitkaksi aikaa. Tan pitais estaa sita vahan.
Ylhaalla keskella: Kapyilylankaa. Nii-in, montako kapyilytyota tassa blogissa on nahty? Hurjan monta. Siksi kapyilylankaa taytyy ostaa kaikissa mahdollisissa vareissa paljon.

Kaksoisneulat ja kapyilylanka oli Sulon ostoksia, naa muut mie ostin ihan normaalihinnalla ja useimmat kuvan ulkopuolelle jaaneet ihan tarpeeseenkin. Niin kuin noi scrapbooking-paperit tossa alla. Vaikka mie en harrasta scrapbookingia; tahan talouteen ei enaa tarvita yhtaan ainoata aikaa vievaa rahareikaa. (Karvajalan moottoripyoraily vie niin paljon rahaa.) Mie kaytan noi paperit itsetehtyihin kortteihin.

Aijuu, niita puikkoja mie ostin sit kahdet, nyt niita asuu meilla yhteensa kolmet. On milla tikutella. Ja ne on pinkit!

Ja alemmassa kuvassa on se syksylla aloitettu ja nyt kotiin tullut RR. Mie pistelin isse tuon keskella olevan alueen. Aiheena oli samplerit yhdella ainoalla varilla (tarkka huomaa etta vari on savy savyyn sohvan kanssa, tasta tulee sohvatyyny), ja meita pistelijoita oli viisi. Suurkiitos Siljalle, Marille, Heidille ja Ullalle! Tahan taytyy tehda reunukset viela ja ommella tyynyksi. Komea tyyny tasta tulee :)

Lower left hand corner: Adorable vintage-buttons. I bought six, for what knit, I do not know yet.
Right: Twin point needles. I'm not sure if I have any use for these, but I'll think of something.
Middle: my Chibi :) Now I, too, am a Real Knitter when I have my own Chibi! No, seriously I bought the tube because my blunt needles are always missing when I need them for weaving in yarn ends, and I do not want another knit sitting in the UFO basket only because I can't find one dang needle. This'll be handy, then.
Top, middle: Tatting thread. Yes, I know what you're thinking, how many tatted items have you seen in my blog? Zip, I know. The tatting fanatic I am, I just needed to buy tatting thread in all possible colors.

The twin point needles and the thread I bought only because they were on sale. And I do intend to start tatting, when I have time for it. The rest, and most of the stuff I bought but did not photograph, I bought because I needed it. Like the scrapbooking paper underneath all of those. No, I do not scrapbook, nor will I. This household does not need another time consuming and expensive hobby. (HairyFeet's motorcycling hobby is very expensive.) I'll use the papers for card making.

And I bought two size 2 needles, the lack of which prevented me starting yet another project. Now I have 3 of them in total. And they're all pink!

On the way home I got the mail:





The potholder came from Mummunmussu after I guessed the right amount of left over yarn she had. I love the colors, I might try the technique myself!

And in the lower picture is the RR which was started last fall and is now back home. I stitched the area in the middle. My theme was samplers in one color (and the color matches the couch) and there were 5 stitchers. Thank you so much, Silja, Mari, Heidi and Ulla! I will stitch the borders and sew it together, this'll make a gorgeous pillow!
