Sikuri asked about stitch markers so here's a brief summary. I haven't made any new markers so you might have seen these before.

In short, there are two types of markers (that I know of): ring markers and row markers. These might have fancier names, and there might be other types of markers, but I just don't know of them (yet). Ring marker has a ring on it. For row markers, I use clasps nowadays, since I think it is more reliable and easier to use than a hook. Some of these markers are older and might have hooks, but as I said, I don't use hooks anymore.

A ring marker is the traditional stitch marker: it marks the number of stitches on a needle. You might use it to mark pattern repeats on your needle. In short: use a ring marker to mark numbers in the horizontal direction. The row marker is the opposite of a ring marker: use it to mark rows, pattern repeats etc. in the vertical direction.

In this picture you'll see the physical and functional difference of these two types of markers: the marker on the left is the ring marker and on the right, attached to the knit is the row marker.
Teen merkkejä sekä valmiista (yleensä Swarowskin) että itsetehdyistä helmistä. Kuvassa vasemmalla oleva merkki on tehty Swarowskin pyöreästä fiber optic-helmestä ja vaaleansinisestä bicone-helmestä. I make markers of commercial high-quality (usually Swarowski) beads. I also make my own beads. The marker on the left is made of a Swarowski fiber optic bead and a light blue Swarowski bicone bead. The marker on the right is made of a bead I crafted and painted myself. It looks rather big but is, in fact, very light compared to its size.
Flickrissä on kuvia joistakin tekemistäni helmistä. The ring markers have a ring to fit needles up to size US10.5. The needle in the pictures is a size 3 bamboo needle. I have made only a few markers and I'm improving all the time, but if you are not satisfied with the markers I make, you may return them for a full refund.
